Overall, wonderful experience. The food was fabulous, with attentive staff (especially Edgar and Sonny, in our case), and was, of course, available whenever desired. The activities were numerous, and we found the activities directors to be friendly and helpful. The best part of the trip (for us) was the dance program, with dance classes every day. Ed and Jackie Ruiter, dance instructors, were most gracious, and were superb goodwill ambassadors for the ship. (They *made* the trip for us). Passengers making (in particular, the Beach Rendezvous in St. Maarten) excursions should "buyer beware" before purchasing. There are many options available to you other than those listed by the company. We found the "Sailing the Virgin Is." to be an excellent trip. Our boat was a private vessel, and our crew, the owner, his wife and visiting grandson. Polly, the wife, guided me in our snorkeling, and was our fish expert. The ship was clean, the staff and crew attentive and pleasant. I've not slept in an "upper bunk" in quite a while, but overall, our accommodations were fine--after all, on a cruise, who spends a lot of time in their room! It appeared the programs for children were great. In the ones we saw, the kids were entertained and engaged. Embarkation was tedious--who wants to stand in line at any time--but it appeared the staff did all they could to make the experience pleasant. Always a hassle getting your luggage after debarkation, but again, I haven't a better suggestion as to how to do it. It's unfortunate I have forgotten all the little things that made this trip "GREAT" for us. We can't wait to do it again...
