Good ship, great destinations

Sail Date: January 01, 2014

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship was fine\, constructed in 2006. Not too big and not too small. Just right.

Pros: So many interesting ports of call!

Cons: Kept you hopping from port to port. Could use more days at sea.

Recommends Noordam? Yes!

Ship Quality
Overall very clean and well kept up. Noticed some frayed carpet and scratch marks that I would not see on Royal Caribbean
Food and Dining
Great food\, and the portions are not enormous. Eat all meals in the dining room and get some moderate exercise and you should not gain weight. You can dine anytime you want or make a reservation. In most cases you will dine with others.
Cabin / Stateroom
No complaints. Very clean and sanitary
Service and Staff
Very friendly. There is one man with a photographic memory who remembered to call me by name every day.
Entertainment
Pretty good overall. I had better on Norwegian and Royal Caribbean\, but this is an older crowd and perhaps not as demanding. The Beatles tribute band was well received and well done. Standing room only.
