We enjoyed the cruise. Our cabin was nice and comfortable. The crew was polite and helpful. the Bonus internet was appreciated and we used the beverage gift card for specialty coffee. the entertainment on the main stage was lacking but the entertainment at the Billboard was excellent, and so was the entertainment at the Lincoln center. the Port of calls were interesting, but perhaps the ship could have a stop in Bermuda as well.

Would not do a transatlantic again with Holland America.

Great ship design, comfortable cabins, pleasant staff and for cruise ships a lot of forward thinking went into customer interactions. The more that goes online the better when onboard.

This was the longest cruise we have done to date. The Nieuw Statendam is a superb ship. Clean, safe and professionally crewed. We had a back to back, with the Mediterranean Mosiac and Transatlantic together. The weather was fantastic with just 10 minutes of rain and calm seas until one day out of Florida. Rougher seas and rain but not too bad. Highly suggest this shoulder season cruise with smaller crowds and fewer kids. HAL attracts an older crowd (like us 70’s) and the pace is relaxing with no go karts or water slides. The NS does have a retractable roof over the pool so you can swim in chilly weather.

This cruise had a great itinerary with a good mix of ports (10 day Mediterranean portion) and a relaxing 14-day ocean crossing. The ship is new and beautiful with interesting art displayed throughout. The service was outstanding and the crew was friendly and very accommodating. Although I enjoyed the music in the Rock Room and BB King’s Blues Club, I felt that the entertainment on Center Stage was mostly mediocre with a few exceptions. The food in the Speciality Restaurants was outstanding, especially the Rice Table Dinner in Tamarind. MDR was loud, and food was inconsistent, but service was always excellent. Good cruise for an older crowd.

Beautiful ship! The retractable roof was great! Enjoyed the pool area when weather wasn’t great. The evening movies were fun! Entertainment was very good! The ports were beautiful! We missed Athens because of high winds. Enjoyed this ship!

We are now cruise people. Who knew. We will definitely do this again and only with Holland America. Experience of a lifetime.

We appreciated the fact that the ship only had 2700 people. It was a perfect amount - not too crowded and easy to move around. We did not have a problem finding a seat at the pool area, dining room or entertainment. Having been on a cruise with 5000 people and a ship with only 680, this was a perfect blend of cruisers. Thank you for a great time.

24 days proved too long for us. Will do 14 max next time.

Excellent ship.

A wonderful time! Our first with Holland America Line but not our last. From start to finish, no detail was too small or left undone.

The ShipMate application needs some work and really made it very difficult for a group of us to coordinate. Notifications did not work on apple phones so we never knew when someone was trying to contact us. And we were traveling with a group of 17 people. There was no way to do a group communication. This made our trip extremely challenging and less rewarding as coordination was so difficult. I think with this feature it would have improved all of ours overall experience. Additionally, some of the onboard activities did not sync up. We would go to some like line dancing, and it was actually ballroom dancing. On some of our phones it showed ballroom dancing and on others it showed line dancing. It was dissapointing as we were celebrating a birthday and we thought we were going to be able to celebrate based on the things we had picked out and that did not happen.

Overall great trip but be prepared for a lot of walking which was great in these ports.

Great cruise. Best ship we have ever been on. Extremely smooth ride. Everything was first class.

If you're very interested in Spanish architecture and culture, this is a good cruise. It is a pity Ireland is not listed in future ones for this particular route.

Was amazing cruise. Every port was wonderful From the captain, to everyone who worked on the ship where Outstanding they do a Excellent job. The people taking care of the cabins do a great job always smiling and working so hard.

Overall, we had a wonderful cruise and saw some great cities. I would recommend HL for older people looking for service and interesting places to visit. We plan to book a Mediterranean cruise with HL next year.

An excellent effort from Holland America. The itinerary, food, service and ship were all better the some past cruises.
