I enjoyedy Birthday Cruise and I would definitely go again...

The tender situation really needs to be addressed. It is a real safety hazard. Holland is still my favorite line, the food, having Mass and the quality of service are outstanding.

It was a time to be pampered and treated well by an excellent staff on board. Be ready to be greeted with a smile by everyone you meet. Loved the attention and cannot wait to go back with Holland America again.

Ship was nice but the staff seems to have management that does not care. Service was lacking throughout the ship.

Service was the best staff went out of their way to please. Did not care for Jamaica , old & dirty. Wall base in shower rusted needs repair. Movie selection in room excellent. Overall it was a very relaxing cruise, we enjoyed.

I have cruised on Holland 4 times now and it is by far my favorite cruiseline. The boats are a nice size with not too many people and you can really enjoy your time on the ship. This was my second time cruising on the Neiuw Amsterdam and enjoyed being back on the ship. The boat is more modern and the balcony rooms are great. Holland has great entertainment because they have a BB King Blues Club on every ship and the live band plays blues, R & B, and rock music. They kept us entertained the entire cruise. There is also good tv entertainment with a host of free movies and tv shows to keep you entertained in your state room. Room service is free for every restaurant but one and that is a nice perk. The locations we cruised too were nice. I had never been to Montego Bay and it was just average to me. Grand Cayman is my favorite. Cozumel would be second. I am not a big drinker and did not want to spend a fortune for the beverage package. Instead was able to purchase a beverage card for either $50 or $100 and this worked very well. You can use it for alcohol and non alcoholic beverages. It does have to be used completely by the end of the cruise or you lose your money. Holland's captain hosts a lunch for those of us in the Mariner's club, which is their rewards program. We had free champagne and also received a nice souvenir coaster. This is a nice touch to show their appreciation. Holland is a part of the Carnival family, but it is more upscale with a smaller chill vibe which is great for those looking for that type of experience. I have been on Carnival, Norwegian, and Holland. Holland is the best for me! All in all we had a good time and will be cruising with Holland in 2019.

On a scale of 1 to 10, we give it an 11+. My mother (91 yrs old) loved it. The staff was great. Always friendly. Very laid back, but attentive and helpful. Always looking for ways to make our experience a pleasant one. Food was excellent.

Our cabin crew were fantastic. The BB King alstars were almost worth the coast alone .

Wonderful ship, great food, love the Tamarind restaurant (went 2x), the entertainment was good, and enjoyed lunch in the pinnacle grill. Small ship with only 2100 Cruising passengers. Nice larger pool with comfy lounge chairs. Very very clean ship. Great assortment of desserts and they were very fresh. Real hard packed Ice cream was so good, not the tasteless soft cones of other ships. The private island food was very good and the water was warm. Just wish we could of stayed on the private island longer. 😘

Had a good time. Very comfortable and relaxing. A little more night life would have been nice.

Nice cruise, wonderful staff. Entertainment OK; enrichment programs poor.

Very pleased with all staff especially Neptune lounge concierges Denisa Ogici and Carlo Cayetano, Cabin manager Hendra, Sommelier Ruther, and Waiters Dewa and Sukarna (not sure of all spellings).

Great Cruise for people who have never been to Alaska

Great cruise...but the promised short excursion was fake news...read the fine print!!! Cruise.com listed Holland American Line as the vendor, but on board no body knew of the bonus short excursion offer, at the end I was holding the bag with the rotten eggs (worth $150); the Guest Service office on the ship stonewalled me, gave me no written proof that I had talked to them...just a huge disappointment!!

Holland America line was good. The ship was nice, not too big and definitely kept up to date. They offer the best offshore activities and make it easy to book and get to. Taku glacier helicopter was breathtaking. If I had to pick one I would definitely pick it. Worth every penny. SPA great for couples! First class train in Skagway was scenically great and not too long.

cruise processing was good flowed pretty easy. Instead of having you stand in line to wait they had seats and processed as you came into facility. The Nieuw Amsterdam is a nice ship, rooms are great very spacious and comfortable. The staff was too laid back, had to ask for service on many occasions. Seating in the dining room on the lido deck was always an issue and the activities and shopping on board were scares. Audience is older.

We received cabin 5100 right by the mid ship elevators so we were concerned about noise. We rarely heard any noise. I am a light sleeper and had the best sleep of any cruise I have ever been on. We were in a perfect location. We took the elevator up to deck nine and was right at the Lido Marketplace. We were just above the life boats but looking out the window there was no obstruction at all. Also the elevator right by our room was broken the entire cruise so there was no privacy issues either with people seeing us on the balcony. This was my 24th cruise (1st with Holland) and by far my favorite cruise ever. Alaska is breathtaking and I highly recommend cruising there. My only complaint was the entertainment. The singers on this ship simply were not talented. The singers in BB Kings were far better in my opinion. This is the one place that needs improvement and the one thing that would make me hesitate to book this ship in the future. Other than that we LOVED every moment of the cruise. Food in lido was delicious. I had maybe one or two things that I did not care for. Loved the salad bar, so many options to choose from and it made eating health easy.

This ship has the kindest staff you will ever, ever meet! Also food was unbelievable!
