Review summary

Enjoyed the cruise and understood going into it that the clientele may have been much older. Activities were geared towards older crowd. Would like to see more variety for the other 25% to enjoy.

Main dining room was nice, did not eat at specialty restaurant and buffets by the end of the trip were the same foods.

Onboard activities seemed to be geared to much older crowd. Enjoyed the pool.

Dance troupe was good; but two nights of it was too much; Comedian was not very good and pretty offensive; Comedian/juggler was funny. Wished he had more material than just the juggling.

Yes, visited the Bacardi Rum Factory. That was good. Did not like being dropped off at the end of the excursion where other ships were dropped and we all had to vie for transportation back to ship. We walked. It was not a close walk.

We were on Nieuw Amsterdam and loved it, and less we are in that older crowd. The ship was beautiful. The food was absolutely delicious every night. The burgers at the Dive-In were the best we’ve ever had. Our ports were fantastic. Our cabin steward always greeted us by name and asked how our days were at the different ports. Great cruise. We will be on the Zuiderdam in March and hope we love it as much as Nieuw Amsterdam
