Review summary

The ship was fantastic! Our room was perfect, well appointed and great use of space. The food was always delicious and the staff always friendly. The dining room always had a wonderful selection, as well as the lido market. Tamarind was fabulous as always. Due to the great offerings in the dining room we didn’t feel the need to do any other specialty dining.

We were on Nieuw Amsterdam in 2018. Loved it. Not a lot to do in the day but that’s what the ports are for. Food absolutely delicious in MDR and buffet (and we don’t usually like a buffet) I love how they serve you in buffet. Burgers at the Dive-In were the best we’ve ever had. Our cabin steward always greeted us by name and always yelled out to us whenever he saw us. He was great. Our cabin was always spotless and had everything we needed. The staff were all friendly and especially in the buffet always happy and smiling. Would definitely go on Nieuw Amsterdam again.
