Beautiful Ship

Sail Date: February 01, 2013

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

This was our 11th cruise\, our 2nd on Royal Caribbean. We've never seen a more beautiful ship with a better layout.

Pros: Beautiful art and layout

Cons: Entertainment was all Broadway

Recommends Navigator of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
The center atrium is a four story tall approximation of a New Orleans street. It is wide\, roomy\, and full of wonderful shops and bars.
Food and Dining
Food and service in the dining room were wonderful. The food up on the 11th deck at the Windjammer was good\, but just good. The Windjammer was also very\, very crowded at times making it impossible to find a seat.
Cabin / Stateroom
The rooms had a ton of storage\, bathrooms with a large shower with glass doors\, not a clingy plastic curtain. Best room we've had on any cruise. It was odd that the TV was still the old style\, HUGE\, deep\, curved screen model from 1995. Seems it would be a massive weight saving to scrap those and go for thin\, flat screen ones.
Service and Staff
Everyone wanted to please and worked hard to make sure lines were short and any needs someone had were addressed quickly. Waiters knew your name from the first night and were friendly and personable.
Some people loved the shows but they were almost entirely broadway style singing and dancing of varying quality. One comedian and one very poor impressionist rounded out the roster. I greatly prefer more variety\, comedians\, jugglers\, ventriloquists\, guitarists\, etc. Frankly\, I was bored out of my mind and not impressed by the singers who missed a few notes in every song (except for one young man who was spot on).
