Great Service, Gym and Spa; Bad Food

Sail Date: May 18, 2014

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship was very clean and the service from the staff was great.  There were lots of activities and the gym and spa were fantastic.   However, the food was bad, which was very disappointing.

The ports on this cruise were disappointing as well/   The port activites were expensive, expecially for what you got.  In Honduras, we went to the recommended beach (which had armed guards, because crime is so prevelant), and the waiters tried to rip us off and double charge us for drinks.  The waiters also charged us for beach chairs in the sun (even though we already paid for the beach package and there were plenty of open chairs).   In Belize, there is no beach option - you either have to do an active jungle tour or hang out in lame shopping area in port.   The recommended beach in Cozumel was fine and the service was very good.   I would not do these ports again - lots of poverty and the port locations were not great.

Randall, who was in charge of maintaining our room, was awesome!
Destinations and Excursions
Ports were in very poor, bad locations; excursions were overpriced for the value

Randall, who was in charge of our room, was wonderful.
Galveston, Texas
Get there early - you can get on the boat before your set time.
Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
Be prepared to see extreme poverty. The waiters on the beach try to rip you off - be careful.
Belize City, Belize
If you don't like expensive and very active tours, you will not like this port. There is no beach option.
Cozumel, Mexico
The beach option was nice.

The spa is wonderful!
