Royal experience not so Royal

Sail Date: February 01, 2012

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Balcony

After experiencing cruising on numerious other cruise lines we decided to "move up" to Royal Carribean. We had been told they were top of the line. Unfortunately, this was not our experience. No matter what question we asked, we were told to go ask someone else. We were not seated with our traveling companions to begin with, even thoush we had booked some 9 months in advance. We had to take this issue to 4 different people before it was resolved. The shop clerks were outright rude and acted as though you were bothering them. They openly bad mouthed customers in from of me and other customers. Communication on ship was greatly lacking. We requested a daily planner be slid under our door when were were missed one night. Never happened. Our toilet seat came apart and when we called, we were told that we would have to contact maintenance ourselves. At least 4 different times throughout the week our account was charged incorrectly and we had to stand in line at the front desk to resolve the issue. We got different answers from different people, depending on who you asked. There were incorrect charges as well as charges to our account for things we had never purchased.

Pros: Dining experience was enjoyable and shows were great.

Cons: The staff and front desk were not helpful and also rude.

Recommends Navigator of the Seas? No.

Found it strange that we did not meet our cabin boy/girl all week.
