Just returned from our cruise on Navigator May 24th-31st. This was our 5th cruise w/ Royal Caribbean & embarkation was quick since we are platinum members & avoided all lines. This ship was absolutely beautiful and the biggest we have been on. We booked a balcony stateroom which was very roomy and well decorated, definitely much nicer & bigger than the older ships we have been on.Our cabin steward was very nice and efficient and surprised us with some cute towel animals on a few nights. The entertainment was very good and the ice show was great, considering they are doing these acts on a moving ship! Now comes the "however" part of our trip....perhaps because these new ships are so much bigger and there are more people we found the service in the dining room to be not as friendly and fun as in our past cruises. Our table mates were great but we were all disappointed in our waiter and assistant waiter. They just didn't seem as personable & friendly as in past cruises. The food quality wasn't as good as in the past either as there were two nights that a few of us skipped dinner and ate elsewhere because nothing on the menu was appealing. The food in the Windjammer was very good, however it lacked variety as it seemed like the same food was served for all seven days. Overall, we loved this cruise vacation and would definitely go again! Hopefully, there will be a little more variety to the Windjammer food. We will definitely cruise Royal Caribbean again in spite of these minor things!
