A Dream Come true

Sail Date: August 05, 2006

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Suite

The Navigator of the Seas of the Royal Caribbean line was a magnificient ship. We sometimes found ourselves saying that it was hard to believe that we were actually on a ship rather than in a shopping mall or some quaint street in the city. No matter how early we woke or if we wanted to stay up late, there were always plenty of activities to participate in.

Pros: We loved it all, but we were really impressed by everyone's hospitality.

Cons: There weren't any cons so much as we wished we could have had more time in all the different ports of call.

Ship Quality
The size of the ship is much larger than we anticipated. It was fun just exploring the ship because everything was beautifully decorated, clean and inviting.
Food and Dining
We ate at all of the resturants on board the ship and even ordered room service one morning and loved them all. one of our favorites was Portofino's. The food was excellent without the long waiting times one would expect at another resturant.
Cabin / Stateroom
We were very impressed with our room. It was much larger that we expected it to be. Our bed was so comfortable and the sheets were the best I've slept on anywhere! we were very pleased with our location to the stairs and elevators as well.
Service and Staff
Everyone on board made us feel like we were their friends and family. The staff would stop and inquire to what are plans were, how we were doing that day and answer any questions we may have had. We fell in love with everyone we met on board!
Entertainment
The entertainment was fabulous. There was always something different each day. They scheduled shows around the two main dinning times so that we never had to miss a show.
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
We did the white water inner tubing adventure and had a blast. The water was crystal clear and very refeshing plus Curtis and Hurley, our guides, made it a lot of fun!

George Town, Grand Cayman
We did the Sting Ray City tour and snorkel. This by far was our favorite excursion. We were first taken to a beautiful reef to snorkel at our own lesiure. There was so much to see. It was absolutely beath taking. Then we went to see and feed the sting rays. Wow!! They are gentle silky creatures that stole our hearts and squid! After our excursion we did most of our shopping in Grand Cayman. There are many shops to visit here.
Don't Miss: Sting Ray City
Labadee (Cruiseline Private Island)
We were limited to where we could go on the island, therefore it was a bit crowed.
Don't Miss: The beach barbecue.

We didn't book an excursion and felt we missed out. However,we were able to take a local taxi to Corona Beach and did our own snorkling there. Afterwards, we headed back into town to a local bar called Carlos and Charlie's which quickly made up for anything previous thought we had missed out on.
