The ship is the Star

Sail Date: August 01, 2006

Reviewed: 10 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The Navigator is really the focus of the entire cruise. There is a variety of things to do, something for everyone. The ship is huge, but there are so many venues and activities that nothing is really crowded. Each bar has its own feel and appeal. The pool was fantastic, especially the adult only areas. The spa, the casino, the rock wall, I could go on.

Pros: So much to do

Cons: Uncomfortable beds

Ship Quality
The ship is very large, but there are so many areas to explore that you never feel crowded. The lines are manageble for the most part. The ship looks new and clean. The staterooms, bars, rock wall, golf all add to the overall appeal of the ship.
Food and Dining
In the Main dining room, the food quality was excellent, although some of the entrees were overcooked. There could have been more variety in the selections. Heavy on the beef, not so much Italian. We didn't try any speciality resturants. The Windjammer was surprisingly good, and plenty of variety. Cafe Promanade was a big hit. That midnight chocolate chip cookie becomes a habit!
Cabin / Stateroom
More room in the cabin than I remember from other cruises. We enjoyed the balcony better than going up on deck.
Service and Staff
It really is their pleasure to serve you.
Entertainment
The entertianmnet in the showroom was better than any of my previous cruises. All of the bands were also excellent. The casino could be larger and should have better games for the players. only single odds on craps, and dealer hits on solft 17 in blackjack. One poker table.
