Review summary

It was a good cruise. The ship is newer and clean and the food is ok. The lack of supervision over staff is noticeable. In the buffet we watched day after day the officer in charge yell at the staff as he walked around the buffets.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Drinks were great. Food in main dining was forgettable. Steak house was exquisite!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Ship seemed under staffed. The staff that was there was great! however it is obvious the crew is overworked due to not being fully staffed.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Peter Punk was an entertaining show!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff that was there did an excellent job!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
A lot of tables and handrails not cleaned periodically. Noticeable.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Room was clean, size is normal for a balcony, the bed is hard as a rock. Hardest mattress we have slept on in over 53 cruises with through many cruise lines.

Ship tip

Debarkation is a nightmare. Unless you are in the Yacht club? Grab a Snickers...... It will be 2 hours of standing in a line to get off.

Ports of call

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

I was thinking at the end of reading your review that the Yacht club might be a better alternative to just the plain statesrooms. Not good or lacking, seems to be MSC cruises hallmarks. The luxury cruise is called Explora Journeys. Thank you for your review.

Appreciate your review, I just read a review same ship same date, and they disliked everything.
