p This was my first... by jbraxton

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Caribbean

p This was my first voyage on MSC Poesia. The only reason that i sailed MSC Poesia was that I was attending a Seminar at Sea for travel sales training. I wouldn#39;t recommend MSC if you have a physical disability because it was difficult getting assistance and a wheelchair, if you needed assistance. Also, the balcony staterooms were small, if you had a walker to store inside the balcony stateroom. p There isn#39;t any adult area(s) if you wanted to get away from the 600 children onboard. However, if you are a parent with smaill children, this is the cruise to take the small children because children sail free up to a certain age. p I grew up on Italian pasta, and I cook the best Italian spaghetti. But, I don#39;t know what happened to the Italian cusinine on the MSC. Notwithstanding, I lost weight while I was on the cruise because I skilled a lot of meals. p The customer service on the MSC was the worst that I have ever experienced on a cruise ship. Most of the crew was from Indonesia, and they didn#39;t speak or understand English. The crew would point when you ask a question, never with a response. i was praying that I didn#39;t get sick on the cruise because the crew wouldn#39;t be any help. p There is always a silver lining to every review: p (1) MSC has a promotion going on. If you book an Inside Stateroom, you will be upgraded to a balcony cabinat no extra price. p (2) The MSC#39;sdance crews in the disco lounge made sure that you were dancing, if you didn#39;t have a dance partner. Both the female and male dance crews would come over to your table, and escort you on the dance floor. You didn#39;t have to worry about not having a dance partner. p a href=mailto:jbraxton@myreligiontours.comjbraxton@myreligiontours.com/a p

Excellent Adventure and Exquisite Ship! by AnnaS2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My husband and I come home with many wonderful memories of an enjoyable cruise. Our shore excursions were well planned and coordinated. We had a good selection of the informative, the educational and the just plain fun. Our Cozumel guide, Miquel, was a Mayan scholar who shared many interesting facts about the Mayan culture. Entertainment and free time was great. Balinese spa was top notch and not overpriced. Of course, the capstone would have to be our New Year's Eve celebration on Deck 13 dancing to the Latin rhythm's of the Mambo Kings and sharing a bottle of chanpagne with four delightful young people from Italy. Great time, overall!

A great cruise vacation by JaneD5

It was a nice ship; clean with nice staff. Nothing fancy compared to the newer ones with wave surfing, a big mini golf course, etc.

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My first time in MSC was in general a nice experience. An advice .. whenever you go to a cruise thinks that it is your first time, every ship and every line of cruises have its own delight. Do not lose your time in doing comparisons because then something is going to disillusion you. On my trip they have SHIPROCKED event but this don't disturbed . I looking for my next cruise on MSC......Recomended 100%

A birthday celebration I will never forg by RobynS21984795

The ship was beautiful! Our cabin stewardess "Bali" was absolutely fantastic!! Frenchi at the Mojito bar was very charming. Most of all we loved dancing with the entertainment team!!! While in the Nassau port we were next to a Royal Carib. ship. I was amazed at how many more balcony rooms the MSC had than the RC ship!!

Do NOT waste your money on the cruise by TamiW1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Caribbean

Pools closed at 7p, Children running rampant with no adult supervision in sight, staff was rude, poor food quality unless you like hamburgers, hotdogs and french fries! Left overs from lunch served at dinner. Boring, nothing to do! Entertainment from street vendors would have been better that the screaming opera on the ship!

Nice Cruise. by BobM14

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Bermuda

The cabin was appropriate and the food was good. You had to put a towel out at 7:00 to get a deck chair, and that didn't,t guarantee a seat. I saw several confrontations over chairs.

Yes Book this cruise by Patti1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was the most romantic week we have ever had with a vacation! We requested a table for two because we are in a business that deals with people all the time and we needed alone time! The food was amazing. The presentation of the food was incredible. I will continue to recommend this cruise to others and look forward to returning. Next time I hope to take ballroom dance lessons before going. If not, I will just hop on my husbands feet again and it will be fun too

We loved this cruise! by StephanieP

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

My husband and I loved this cruise! It is a European line, so there were some things that were noticably different. While the staff was friendly, they didn't seem to go above and beyond like American cruise lines. However, overall, it was one of the best we've been on.

Great Cruise & Ship by JenniferT1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

MSC by far the best cruise I have ever been on, and thats coming from someone who would never ever ever go on another cruise after my experiences with them. The staff speaks Italian, the food though not Italian, was great food, the desserts to die for. If your an American with American ways this is not the cruise line for you. However, if you like a little excitement and encompass a little European in you, then you may have a great time. P.S the staff does speak English, but only if your nice!

Ruined By a Vile MSC Employee by GermariS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Liked the ship and the cruise itself. I hate the fact that a horrible, low rent, bottom of the barrel MSC employee ruined the whole experience by treating my wife and I like crap at the very end and scolding us like school children instead of helping us. I wasn't crazy about all the extra fees that MSC added to my final invoice either. After purchasing 2 photos, 1 can of potato chips and 3 drinks I had a bill of $300 including the extra MSC fees. I also didn't like having to be out of the cabin by 7:30am on the day of disembarkment...yet, not getting off the boat until 10:30.

Great cruise by ShannonD2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The ship is beautiful and very clean. The only con would be the food. It wasn't bad just a little boring. The buffet was pretty much the same every day. The dinner options were better, alot of options and it was good. The negative reviews concerned me but having just returned I think the positives outweigh the negatives. The entertainment was decent to good. The check-in and check-out process was very quick. I would sail on this ship again.

Don't bother by EleanorE2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

The entertainment was seriously lacking. The shore excursion crew did not know about the ports. THE ONLY MOVIES IN THE CABINS WERE PAY MOVIES AND THOSE WERE OLD. Only 2 American tv channels, one was a taped TBS channel and then CNN. Food was ok, but served leftovers at the buffet the next day.
