Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

This was our 3rd try to make trip. Tried in 2020 & 2021(Covid). Did miss St. Petersburg (Putin) but this cruise was very eye opening and gave us a new appreciation of these people and their countries! Great and Memorable!!! We are consider coming back for longer visit but right now couldn't decide which one to visit or take more time & do all😀😁😂😍

We enjoyed the trip. The staff were very informative and helpful The excursion guides except at Tallin were very informative. If we had our luggage during the trip we would have enjoyed it more

MSC is an adventure in international travel by rsp44

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

Overall MSC does a pretty good job of managing 3000 passengers who speak many different languages. I applaud them for that. The service is variable and reflect language problems and different ideas of what service is compared to North American standards. The food is obviously mass produced and has to cater to many different tastes. Don't take this cruise if you want excellent onboard cuisine (but occasional they would surprise me with something wonderful). If you are a native English speaker (and that is your only language) be aware that finding someone who knows conversation English will be a challenge which to me really was major negative for this trip. But if you want a really international experience and want to me folks from many different countries (and not just Americans, Canadians, Aussies and New Zealanders) and or you speak some conversation Italian, French, German or Spanish, then MSC is the cruise line for you.

Mediterranean Cruise by FunAtSea02

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

This Mediterranean Cruise has many spectacular and rich cultural ports to see. The ship, cabins and lounges are clean and nice. However, there are many things that can be improved by the cruise line. Customer Service was lacking, food was average and at times long wait lines and overcrowding during buffet, embarkation, pool areas etc.

7 night Adriatic & Greece cruise by schuppi43

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Overall well designed itinerary and ports of call, good variety of food choices, service and entertainment. Cabin was spacious and staff was very good also. Biggest negatives were boarding experience and surprisingly narrow choices in drink package.

Amazing Mediterranean itinerary by lpcampbell

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Overall a mm enjoyable trip but would take a different cruise like me next time. A very diverse group of cruisers and at dinner we were out with Italuans who spoke no English. Good could have been much better. Also may look at a smaller ship.

Nice European Cruise by M3BABE1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

THEY NEED TO TURN ON THE HEAT IN THE HOT TUBS AND GET MUCH BIGGER ONES. PERSONNEL SHOULD BE TRAINED TO BE MORE FRIENDLY. THE PORTS ARE GREAT WHICH IS WHY I CHOOSE THIS CRUISE.

Great Cruise but Poor Organisation by Cruiser1263054

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The ship was excellent, the itinerary was superb, the staff were mainly OK, but the Organisation was not up to standard.

Cold food in the dining room, a minimum 10-minute wait for a drink, poor quality entertainment.

MSC need to buck their ideas up a bit and get themselves organised, middle management should spend some time on RCI, to see it's done.

FOLLOWING BEING COERCED INTO THE ALLEGRISSIMO PACKAGE, AT 'EMBARKATION TIME'  I IREALISED IT WAS FAR IN EXCESS OF MY FAMILIES REQUIREMENTS; I HAD TO PAY FOR SERVICES/ DRINKS ETC WHICH OBVIOUSLY WE DID NO CONSUME,  AND HAVE REQUESTED REIMBURSEMENT. TO DATE MSC HAVE NOT ADDRESSED THIS MATTER. WHAT A RIP OFF. I AM EXTREMELY ANGRY.

I EMAILED DETAILS OF THIS ISSUE TO YOUR 'MANAGER' WEEKS AGO;AGAIN NO RESPONSE.

Review MSC Poesia East Mediterranean Cruise by vyronjohnson

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The food on the first night in the dining room was not very good. Subsequent dinners in the restaurant were better. We had difficulty finding seating at the buffet during primetime lunch hours. Water, soda and juice had to be purchased. A lot of people did not know how to wait in line and were bursting in front at food stations and elevators.

Great cruise if you can put up with Germans and Italians. by jasonlechef

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Great ports of call and shore excursions. Main dining room is excellent with fine dining menu changing every night. Bars and lounges are tastefully decorated with great musicians and vocalists.  Breakfasts and lunches at the main cafeteria is a nightmare, an eating frenzy with insufficient tables and have to wait in line for food and dodging on-coming crowd. Beverage stations are always either "out of order" or empty of hot water, or something. Majority of passengers are Europeans with Germans and Italians making up more than 50% of the entire load, which resulted in stiff, poker face unfriendly people. There are also quite a handful of families with young kids, babies in strollers and noisy toddlers running around during the busy breakfast and lunch hour. Shows are mediocre in 5 out of 7. Overall service by the crew is excellent except for a few overworked individuals.

Ship / food by bosak

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Bermuda

Ship one of the nicest around, well maintained, great shows. Staff didn't seem to care about service especally in the dining rooms !!!!!! Food was some of the worst I have ever had on a cruise and I've cruised more than 24 cruises. I do not like waiting up to an hour to get my diner. I would think that an Italian line would have really good pasta,, not so. not aldenty but almost not cooked at all. All in all I sent back 4 dinners Would NOT take this line again and I not the only one that I talked to !!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent food and service by ckm

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Caribbean - Western

dated shows and lack of adult music. Shows were "ed sullivan" acts-tumblers, etc. Should have been jazz and standards music available. Service was excellent all over the ship.

As Expected! by GGCruiser

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Overall a good cruise. Cabin was great, ship was clean and elegant. Buffet was excellent. Entertainment was also very good, especially the dance shows. Kids Club was great. Gym was nice. Room for improvement was in the dinning room, food was not as good as the buffet, no real beverage choices, work staff was reserved up until when they were to be reviewed by guests, lengthy disembarkation. Itinerary was fine except that the tendering in St. Thomas left no time to get to St. Johns. Happy we weren't on Carnival that week.

Had a good time BUT! by beentheretoo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Poesia / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was a very beautiful and clean ship but there was just a few little things that bothered us: There were no urinals in any Mens room! (weird) The layout in the spa/steamroom/sauna area was odd and awkward. (the mixing and crisscrossed paths of male/female, changerooms and showers was embarrassing for me) The showers were too small and not enough of them. The employees name tags were hard to read. (small print) Restrooms were poorly marked and hard to find. Stairwells were confusing. Beautiful and clean but they all looked the same. It would be easier if they distinguished front of the ship from the back with different colours or artwork also for deck level as well. The main dining room was way too crowded. the banquette seating was hard to get in and out of and made it hard for the waiters to serve food and collect dishes etc. Also one waiter per table was'nt enough. The poor boy tried but without an assistant to help keep up with bread and water and clearing of dishes, the delivery of the different coarses was sporatic and unpredictable. The overcrowding was even more dificult for him!!
