I recently sailed on MSC Poesia (Aug 23 - Sept 1, 2024), and the experience was far below expectations. On the first night, my wife became dizzy due to a storm. We sought emergency care, only to be hit with a shocking €1,090 bill, including €705 for a doctor consultation and €275 for a day we didn’t attend, without any prior warning about the fees.
When we tried to resolve this, the staff was unprofessional and unhelpful, showing no empathy for our situation. Additionally, the overall service on the ship was poor, with rude and inattentive employees. To make matters worse, the food was below average, which further dampened our experience.
We decided to disembark early on August 25th, cutting our vacation short due to these issues. Overall, the lack of transparency, poor service, and subpar amenities made this a very disappointing cruise. I would not recommend MSC Cruises based on this experience.
