Food was boring. The only \"specials\" were available for sale at the restaurants. On Costa cruises\, they offer Sushi in the afternoon and specials like Fettucini Alfredo made at a nearby table to the buffet - NO EXTRA CHARGE FOR THESE! MSC Cruises fell way below my expectations.

Service and Staff

Staff were helpful\, but many did not speak English as a first language so it was very difficult to communicate with them. Sign language sometimes worked.

Ship Quality

Poor layout. Had to walk through cabin halls to get to main areas. Lounge chairs on deck were VERY uncomfortable. And the lounge chairs that were available were in noisy areas. There were none in quiet areas where one could read without being disturbed by staff directing games or dances.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was clean and quiet - even though the theatre was just below us.

Pros: Being at sea.

Cons: Had to leave cabin by 7 AM & then sit in lounge until the 11 AM disembarkation time. (And often\, difficult to get coffee at breakfast!)

Recommends MSC Poesia? No.
