Embarkation

We had our COVID tests done before this cruise. CVS told me they were running 48 to 72 hours for regular test. So, we listened to them and did our test Thursday late for a Sunday departure. Well, our test were not accepted at the port. Literally, the difference was 10 hours to late based on their 48 hours they want. We had to pay 160 for new tests. Robbery! I was livid. I can see if we did not do these tests but this is what cbs told us to make sure we had it for departure.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Seemed like the same food all the time, not much variety in the buffet. I also wondered if they tasted some of the food they served, cause I would not have served it. The deserts were very disappointing, dry, not much, flavor. We had one meal we enjoyed on this ship.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
They did a good job on their nightly shows.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Our neighbors next to us would not stop blasting a Bluetooth speaker at all hours of the night. They also decided to get into what sounded like a knock down drag out fight at 430 in the morning. We called security twice. The music never stopped for all the nights we were on the ship. I would of at least thought they would get a warning or something to make it stop. It was insane and very aggravating. Our ship card was not working due to our CC not linked. It took 4 trips to the front desk to get this fixed. Not sure why they couldn’t fix this.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
The mattress was awful, the rooms are in desperate need of an update.

Ship tip

I hope you have a better experience with this cruise line.

well the problem with the Covid test has nothing to do with MSC all on you.

We did Divina just to try out MSC and the price was good. Would never do MSC again. The food in particular was a big disappointment.

Seems you got tested very early and that's why didnt accepted.. Too bad The ship didnt meet your expectation But you should try it on other MSC cruises Ships like MERAVIGLIA and Seashore in US and get the Aurea Experience or the top notch the Yatch Club this last one is expensive not as other high end Category Cruise Lines but you would not regret it

Your Covid antigen test should have been done on Friday for a Sunday departure. Sorry you were disappointed with other aspects of your cruise.

Thanks for the review. It sounds like cruising isn’t for you. I was on MSC in January and had a great experience. I am confused about the Covid test. I had an antigen test at CVS on Friday for my Sunday cruise, had the results in 2 hours and no issues with MSC accepting the test. The 48 hours timeframe is when you need to take the test, not receive the results.
