Review summary

We cruise a lot and will not take MSC again as the customer service is lacking. It was not a terrible cruise, but it also was not great.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was the best part of the entire cruise.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was OK - same thing everyday at the buffet. Dinner took a long time in the main dining room - count on at least 2 hours.

Onboard Activities

Activities were sparse.

Service and Staff

Our waiter was excellent. The room steward did not even make up the room one day. Customer service is not a priority.

We did the Balmoral Pig excursion. We thought we were going to be with the wild pigs. These were caged pigs who were terribly mistreated in front of us. We ended up leaving after one of the "trainers" kicked the pig from behind when the pig would not listen. We complained to the excursion desk upon our return, but were not listened to at all. In fact the lady was very dismissive.
