All I can say is I will never sail on this line again.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Okay, Port of Miami is very clean.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
You can hardly get anything with the "Drinks on Us" package. Upgraded to Premium Package and told we could have anything on the bar menu up to $12. However, that did not include milkshakes which were on the menu at about $7. You need another package for that! The same thing on the lunch buffet every day. I don't want pasta with coconut milk in it from the pasta bar. The Alfredo tasted like sawmill gravy. Items offered on the dinner menu were hardly anything I would eat. They did have prime rib one night. Otherwise it was a New York strip every night. The meatballs on the spaghetti and meatballs were decent, but there was no sauce on the noodles. There was also a tooth on a breakfast plate one morning and all they did was give us a steak dinner and drinks (which we had already paid for in the upgrade package) in a specialty restaurant. And, an apology. No monetary compensation at all. The least they could have done was refund the money for the drink upgrade, or a refund for the cruise.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
We are seniors and disabled so we didn't do much along this line. However, it was hard to find a chair to sit, as most of them had towels with no one there.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
The entertainers were talented, but it was the same ones every night.
Service and Staff
1 out of 5
Our room steward, one waiter in the Solarium Bar, and our two people in the main dining room were very friendly. Otherwise, the rest of the staff would bowl you over if they could. Did not smile if you approached a bar. One officer was very helpful directing me to a store on the ship, after another one told me the wrong deck. Took at least 45 minutes to get dinner each night. I think they were understaffed. They give you a child size cone and ice cream on the pool deck.
Ship Quality
1 out of 5
The ship was clean, but the layout was weird. Too many places you could not get to without going to another deck. Very chopped up. Buffet dining room layout had everyone running into everyone else. They did not enforce the seating for handicap people only area.
Cabin / Stateroom
1 out of 5
I don't know how they call this a Stateroom??? I was told it was a smaller room, but it was tiny. Not even a chair. Had a king size bed and a stool under the vanity area, which was the other side of the bed from the bathroom. We did have two chairs on the deck. The shower is a joke. You can hardly turn around in it.
Ship tip
Verify what your packages include, and look carefully at pre-paid vs on board.
We did a Cat sail down to Maho Beach, Simpson Bay area. Got to see a few planes coming in and going out. We were supposed to have a 4 hour excursion, but it ended up being about 3. The captain got us back to port with plenty of time to get back on the ship. The excursion didn't leave until 2 p.m. and your had to be back on board by 6:30.
We had to dock at anouther terminal and they didn't unload the luggage per color code that thy should have. They just put them on conveyor belts. Finally found my last piece two sections away from where it was supposed to be.
