This cruise was an overall major disappointment. From the tasteless food, weak drinks, poor photography, lackluster entertainment (no comedy club shows, game shows), everything closing too early, everything being overpriced (liquor, jewelry, bags etc), boring buffet (no omelette station, no Asian/hibachi counter, no taco station, no deli; no tea time, constantly running out of things and having to ask for basic things like salad dressing and being met with an attitude as if we were asking too much; the weak weak drinks, long wait in line, no hot food after 11:30am; AND most important the nasty, dismissive, condescending attitudes of the guest relations personnel, I would not sail with MSC and would not recommend MSC to anyone. The management, staff and vessel need a complete overhaul.

Never again on this ship, food not fit to eat, either raw or burnt to a crisp. Shrimp so tough could not eat it. Staff was rude as a US civil servant

Great cruises and friendly staff. Food and entertainment was excellent. We loved the coffee and tea bar too.

Over all a very basic cruise experience and no wow factors here. Food was mediocre most nights. You have your regular good items and then a ton of overcooked and boiled food. The show cast -some great singers but they looked painfully unrehearsed. The entertainment staff was great and very fun to interact with. My cabin steward was 5 star amazing (JOY). She was on point every single day and never missed a beat. Buffet situation is ridiculous- the smallest and repetitive station ever. Also the staff there does not care at all. I observed someone one putting bread away by slammimg the baskets on top of each other. Pizza -I have never encountered a more rude and grumpy staff member like this one- Most of the pizza is crust and he barely puts anything on it. I asked if he could make one pie with sauce and he gave me attitude and pointed at the menu of 3 styles of pizza. Warning- there is no hot food or any food available on the ship after 11:30. Unless you want pizza crust. Overall it felt like the energy of the staff felt so low. I guess since the boat will be doing a different cruise soon people have just given up here. I had a great time because we make the best of everything but I would not recommend this to anyone cruising for the first time as they would be dissatisfied. I love cruising with MSC but I must say this was the worst cruise I have ever been on.

Would go on MSC again just not this ship. Very nice crew

ship should be parked next to the titanic. even customer service said maybe they should sell the ship to the chinese. and it lacked everything

Our vacation on MSC Arminian was absolutely perfect.

I was concerned over MSC as some ratings were low; however, other than the misunderstanding on the drink package covering all drinks as in my other cruises, it was an amazing cruise with exceptional staff. If I were to offer any advice to MSC, I would say have (1) one level of drink package: it's either all inclusive or not. Why have an "easy" package (which wasn't cheap) that won't even include the drink special of the day? That really felt like a rip-off personally and financially.

I have made more than 10 cruises with more than 4 different shipping companies and this seemed one of the best. We were staying in a suite in the bow. The unbeatable attention and cleanliness of the cabin and the excellent boat. I will be back.

This was the 12th cruise I have been on with the 5th cruise line I have cruised with. This was the WORST cruise I have EVER been on and the first and LAST time I will ever cruise with MSC. I spent the first 4 days in line at the Guest Relations desk for Internet (did not have Internet access until the afternoon of the third day) and billing issues...long wait in line each time. There was false advertising for both "unlimited" Internet access and "unlimited" onboard drinks. The cabin beds were like sleeping on bricks and I had to call more than once for towels and cleaning of the bathroom. The food was absolutely terrible both in the buffet and the restaurant (food was sent back EVERY night because it was simply inedible). The theater shows were amateurish and only mildly entertaining; the only show that was really entertaining was the crew talent show. There were no separate activities targeted to 18-30 year olds...a single lounge disco was provided for all ages (ridiculous). There were few onboard entertainment activities for adults (shuffleboard...really??...and the arts and crafts were designed for children). The movies shown in the theater and on TV were at least 3 years old (also only 2 English-speaking non-sports channels on TV) and there was no streaming capability whatsoever. To cap it off, there was no published pricing for the guest pictures for sale at the end of the cruise and pricing appeared to be established on a random basis and very unprofessionally and unethically sold ("pick out which pictures you want and we'll tell you the price"). The price quoted for 10 pictures was more than double the pre-boarding price offered online and more than I have EVER paid for pictures on any cruise. I received a lower price (albeit still higher than I have ever paid) for the pictures only after complaining to the photo department manager. And the quality of the pictures was poor, specifically the background scenery was shabby and every shot had wrinkled "flooring" which makes it clear that the poses were taken in front of fake scenery. I cannot express the extent of my disappointment in this cruise and my experience with MSC...but I will endeavor to share this poor experience with as many people and as many cruise review sites as possible.

will not cruise Msc anymore. it was not the ship for me.

i have been on 20 cruises so i know what to expect from a cruise this ship did not let me down the staff is fantastic they cant do enough for you

The MSC Armonia cruise was excellent. The weather was good, the crew including the Captain and officers were very visible and friendly. We enjoyed the Cruise Critic reception and the reception and perks MSC provided the us as Black card Voyager members. We enjoyed the no hassle drink package and internet that was included in our fare. The shows were excellent and the entertainment (fun staff) very friendly and kept us entertained. We plan to go back to MSC and the Armonia.

Smaller and more intimate than we are used to. Had a great time

The only thing i liked was casino. Food was horrible. Never seen any one cleaning boat.

Overall it was a good cruise. It got extended to a 9 days cruise do to hurricane Dorian.

2nd cruise with MSC. Smaller but not small ship. Never felt crowded with the boat full. (2400 cruisers) Staff was the best ever! Food was adequate portions & a wide variety for lunch & dinner. Best pizza on the ocean! Always felt welcome & attended to by our wait staff & room steward! Shows were OK but short, maybe 30-45 minutes. Will certainly cruise with MSC again next year!
