Review summary

I passed the long line of Carnival cruisers standing a thousand deep in the 91 degree Miami Heat. I am sure that I was in my cabin long before they reached the counter. The MSC Armonia embarkation was easy and seamless and everyone that I met was polite and helpful. The cabin while not the biggest that I have been on was the best designed in terms of space and function. Booked a full suite with a tub. Fantastica level. Day 1 ....Very pleased.....so far.

Day 2 I wonder what all these extremely negative reviews were all about? The entire staff has been amazingly friendly and helpful under what seems to be high pressure stressful situations. The food when good its very good and when I have found something not to my liking it can easily be replaced ( French Onion Soup was a little too sweet for me - replaced with two shrimp cocktails). The buffet like most cruise ships depending upon the time can become a cattle call but the actions of the passengers are not the fault of the ship. The shows are geared to an international not an American audience. They were fine for me. I like the various lounge acts as they are up close and personal. This ship has spaces to get loud and spaces to quietly relax. Tomorrow is our first port and excursion (will report).... Day two conclusions..... On an MSC cruise...... You get what you pay for. I have not been disappointed yet.
