This was our first Holland America cruise, although not our first cruise. We were fortunate that it did not rain much at all. All of our ports of call and Glacier Bay had sunshine, and we got some fantastic pictures! Not too long before leaving Ketchikan , the clouds rolled in over the mountains and it began to drizzle. Our excursions were all booked through the cruise line and were fantastic. The highlight was glass blowing, where we each made a piece that was shipped to our home, at Jewel Gardens in Skagway. The ship itself was clean, the cabin stewards phenomenal, and the entertainment great. Our only complaint was that the food in the Lido Buffet was rather hit and miss. Breakfasts were great, but dinners, on nights we chose not to go to the main dining room or specialty venues, ranged from good to mediocre. We encountered old cold food, to not bad.

Definitely get e balcony cabin. The day we sailed in Glacier Bay, we had great views right from our balcony.
