A brilliant cruise!

Sail Date: December 01, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship is showing its age - needs renovation but I understand it has been sold and will be leaving Royal Caribbean in March.

Pros: Coco Cay and the service level of the staff on the ship

Cons: the ship was a bit tired\, needed renovation - the pool too small and temp too cold

Recommends Monarch of the Seas (RETIRED) 221? Yes!

Children's Programs
Best we have ever experienced! This is the reason we will go on other Royal Caribbean cruises.....happy kids make happy parents!! We have a 10 yr old and a 13 yr old and both loved all the activities and the freedom. Thank you!
All excellent!
Service and Staff
Crew were exceptional!
Cabin / Stateroom
Very dated\, and very small - but ok as we were hardly in there!
Food and Dining
Need better vegetarian options. Need More (and healthier) late night dining options other than pizza! The juice was terrible (loaded with sugar). The coffee was not good either.
Ship Quality
It was clean enough - just dated
