the ship is old and its good to see it being taken out of service. cruise director [we saw him as an asst cruise director on I believe it was the oasis] was ok but his staff was worst ever. we are diamond members of crown and anchor and i must admit this was the only ship that some cruise members acknowledged.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
beware\, they are starting the my time dining. ncl is cheaper but we prefer rccl cause they did not have my time. we met friends on the ship and it was a birthday for an 8 year old traveling with us and they had my time. we asked if just for one night [for the birthday] if they could sit with us and we were refused by management.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
horrible and allowed kids to be in the room during the quest. first\, ive seen the quest several times and this one was aweful. second\, no kids should mean no kids.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
cruise director staff not friendly but cabin steward and waiter and assistant witer were very friendly andwent above and beyond to give excellent service.

Cabin / Stateroom

Pros: our cabin steward and waiter and assistant waiter were great. we were in cabin 6040 and ate at table 19.

Cons: entertainment was horrible except for the olympic gymnist. the singers except for the girl that sang whitney houston were the worst ever and this was our 38th cruise. our cabin was so bad our tv was literally 12 inches from the floor. we had to actually lift it and put it on counter to watch tv.

Recommends Monarch of the Seas? No.
