span style=font-size: 12px;Booked the Monarch of the Seas on a sale ..price was very reasonable. Checking in at the port was easy and quick. We arrived there about 2 pm and we were onboard in about 15 minutes. The first thing we noticed was the ship is narrow compared to the larger more modern ships now a days....but of course we knew it was an older ship.However.. it appeared clean, well kept and the staff were very friendly. The food was first class.. lots of choices and the display and presentaion was lovely. The dining room food was very good..and the wait staff more than attentive and friendly. The buffet was large with various food stations...all of which were tasty and appealing. We sampled most everything...there was nothing that we didnt like. The pooland hot tub area were bothnice and there seemed always chairs available. The onboard shops and stores, camera shop, photo display area all easy to find and had a good selection. Our complaint about the camera shop was it was closed often and when you needed to buy an underwater camera forthe coco cay stop....it was closed. We suggest selling those cameras in another store or the photo display area onboard as well. The casino was decent.. but I found the ventilation poor and itseems dark. The rock climbing wall and sports deck seem to be busy at all times. The show in the theatre was well put together.. we didnt go to all of them. /span

span style=font-size: 12px;Our cabin which was on the 2 nd deck was smaller but adequate. We were towards the front of the ship in the center on a cross hallway. Now.. this is where the problem starts! When we checked in and got onbaord and found our cabin.. and opened the bathroom door.. there appears a small puddle of water... we assumed because it was freshly cleaned there was a small spot left over from it being sanitized. We leave and come back hours later.. upon using the restroom.. we discover the toilet will not flush and continues to #39;run#39; and overflow. My husband tries for some time to get it to flush.. and it does #39;somewhat#39;... so ..we locate the cabin attendant who happens to be just in the hallway and discuss it with him.. he indicates he will send maintenance...#39;right away#39;.. We come back after dinner, show, etc.. to discover it is still doing the same thing.. now we are throwing all of our towels on the floor to soak up the water that continuously flows out of the toilet. My husband calls maintenance himself.. they say they will send someone.. this is a late hour by now. No one shows up. During the night i go to the restroom... step into and step in toilet water...covering my feet! Gross and unsanitary! I am not happy. Morning comes..We complain again to cabin attendant. We leave and go into nassau...come back at dinner time.. the same issue is going on. Even though our cabin is made up.. it appears no one has come to fix this issue. Now.. our cabin is damp and has an odor. My husband tries several times to fix this again..and we now have decided if we need to use the restroom to go elsewhere in the ship. Coco cay morning arrives..it seems to work somewhat ok.. we go off for the day and come back onboard about 3;30.. we open our cabin door and find that the entire bathroom filled to the rim with water and black sludge #39;stuff#39; floating around.. now pouring over into the carpet area in the entrance.. Again.. unsanitary.. andI am completely disgusted! Unacceptable. We go to customer service and complain...and call maintenance ourselves.I decide to take pictures and video...Next thing you know.. maintenance is there.. we leave for dinner and come back twice to find them still there working on it. Once complete so we think they leave a huge blower in our already small cabin to dry the carpet. During the night once again.. i get up to use the restroom only to find myself in the same situation..standing in water again.. so.. I guess it was really never fixed in the end... I amalso advised by the customer service they will give me a 25% off a future cruise .. ubut/u the 25% off isequilivant to 25% off that cruise..not really any future cruise.....we just got that for a very very cheap price... so really it has hardly any value. Under $50. I am not happy.. we cruise fairly regularly..I worked at one time in the cruise and travel industry and i simply find this unacceptable and the compensation is not adequate after having to step and stand in toilet water from who knows where for the entire cruise. I now in fact have an infection in my toe nail on my left foot. Can this be from this #39;adventure#39;.. ? You be the judge!/span

span style=font-size: 12px;so.. bottom line .. beware... I think they have sewage system problems on that ship. /span
