Hurricane Sandy Cruise

Sail Date: October 22, 2012

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

Friendly helpful staff. Older, smaller ship. Clean and comfortable.

Pros: Friendly\, helpful staff did an excellent job!

Cons: Rain & rough seas!!!!

Recommends Monarch of the Seas (RETIRED)? Yes!

Ship Quality
Early morning coffee station\, pizza\, soft serve ice cream inaccesable for older\,
incapacitated travelers. It was on the 12th deck with no elevator service! Steps
very difficult for a lot of people.
Food and Dining
Staff in dining venues were terrific. We chose our favorite time to eat. No interest in specialty dining\, just a way to add charges to cruisers.
Cabin / Stateroom
Cabin was very small but staff kept it clean and comfortable. Amenities included an expensive (therefore unused) mini bar and bathroom soap.
Service and Staff
Entire staff friendly and helpful at all times.
Staff revised schedule as needed\, given the bad weather\, and kept us entertained. Stage shows a little lackluster but comedian was good. Plenty of gameshow style entertainment\, trivia and karioke. Too much Bingo.
