A very, very nice vacation experience!

Sail Date: September 10, 2012

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship was beautiful. I know it is an older vessel but it is very well maintained. Our stateroom was very nice; much larger than we expected. The shower was comfortable and the water pressure was excellent.

Pros: The dining room food and professionalism of the staff!

Cons: The buffet food and extra costs of just about everything.

Recommends Monarch of the Seas (RETIRED)? Yes!

Ship Quality
I know there are bigger ships but this one seemed about perfect for us. The decor was very nice. The public areas were beautiful. The Sopund of Music Theatre was wonderful. Not a bad seat in the house.
Food and Dining
The dining at Claude's was THE BEST! The food could not be better\, both quality and selection. The buffet in the Windjammer was good\, but a little boring as it seldomed varied from day to day.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our stateroom was very\, very comfortable.
Service and Staff
Everyone on staff seemed committed to providing all guests with an excellent experience. Our waitstaff at table 466 at Claude's and our housekeeper\, Esther were the best!
There was almost too much to do. We had a hard time keeping track of it all!
