Great Cruise

Sail Date: September 01, 2012

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

We had a great trip on the Monarch of the Seas. The ship is old and small but was great for a short 4 night cruise. They kept the ship very clean and the staff was awesome, we didn't have a bad service experience the whole trip. If you just want a relaxing trip to lounge by the pool and enjoy the port stops, you will like this ship. If you are looking for a ton of activities on the ship, you might need to look at one of the newer ships. For the price this was an incredible deal.

Pros: Great Food\, Service and Entertainment

Cons: Late Night Buffet

Recommends Monarch of the Seas (RETIRED)? Yes!

Ship Quality
The ship was very clean for such an old ship. Perfect ship for a short 4 night cruise.
Food and Dining
Food in the main dining room was great. The buffet was pretty good. The late night buffet was not very good.
Cabin / Stateroom
The room was small\, but it was clean and we were only there to sleep and get ready for dinner.
Service and Staff
Great experience with the staff. Didn't have a bad service experience.
The cruise director was great. They had a juggler from America's Got Talent who was awesome. The singing and dancing shows were a little cheesy.
