Good Value for the Price

Sail Date: June 01, 2012

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Oceanview

Older ship but very clean and comfortable. It will only be in the Royal Caribbean fleet for less than a year as it was sold. We have gone on many cruises on it and will miss it as we like the size of the ship because it is easier to get around on than many of the newer "mega-ships".

Pros: Food, ports of call

Cons: Warm room with poor air-conditioning; no in cabin safes

Recommends Monarch of the Seas (RETIRED) 221? Yes!

Service and Staff
Ship Quality
Food and Dining
We would have appreciated a bit more variety in low carb or low sugar options for diabetics but there was enough to suffice for such a short cruise.
Cabin / Stateroom
Smaller than on many ships but clean and comfortable. However, not having an in cabin safe was a huge inconvenience.
