Monarch of the Seas
4 Night Bahamas (Port Canaveral Roundtrip)
Sail Date: May 21, 2012
Ship: Monarch of the Seas
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Couple
Reviewed: 6 years ago
This ship is in it's final year with RCL and will be sold next May. Everything about the ship shows it. We knew we weren't going on the Oasis of the Seas but we expected a little better from RCL. It seems like the warranty ran out on everything aboard and you know what happens next. I understand that the best ships aren't used on the short cruise circuit, but it should be better than this.

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Worst food ever on a cruise

They played one single 2 hour music tape from the time we left till the time we returned. By the third day people were avoiding the pool area for anything other than swimming. Over and over and over. Waterboarding is not worse

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Not much enthusiasm. Pleasant enough but just not overly happy

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Everything is worn

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Small cabin even for an outside stateroom

Pros: Their private island

Cons: Everything else

Recommends Monarch of the Seas? No.
