Tired Old Ship

Sail Date: May 21, 2012

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

This ship is in it's final year with RCL and will be sold next May. Everything about the ship shows it. We knew we weren't going on the Oasis of the Seas but we expected a little better from RCL. It seems like the warranty ran out on everything aboard and you know what happens next.
I understand that the best ships aren't used on the short cruise circuit, but it should be better than this.

Pros: Their private island

Cons: Everything else

Recommends Monarch of the Seas (RETIRED) 221? No.

Food and Dining
Worst food ever on a cruise
Ship Quality
Everything is worn
Cabin / Stateroom
Small cabin even for an outside stateroom
Service and Staff
Not much enthusiasm. Pleasant enough but just not overly happy
They played one single 2 hour music tape from the time we left till the time we returned. By the third day people were avoiding the pool area for anything other than swimming. Over and over and over. Waterboarding is not worse
