Room Type: Inside

This is an older, smaller ship, but well maintained. What the Monarch of the Seas may lack in amenities of newer ships, it offers back in a variety of ways, including; a visible forward working deck for the lines and anchor, a more intimate environment, decks are easy to navigate including a walking deck that circumnavigates the ship.

Pros: Service was wonderful

Cons: Small shower

Recommends Monarch of the Seas (RETIRED) 221? Yes!

We have been on Monarch of the Seas several times and the entertainment hasn't changed much except for the performers, but the quality of the performances has always been well done. Again, because the ship is older, it does lack some of the amenities of newer vessels.
Ship Quality
The ship has a logical layout and is easy to navigate.
Food and Dining
Excellent food and a variety of eating options.
Cabin / Stateroom
The only negative I would mention is the shower. Small with a curtain rather than a door or closure.
Service and Staff
Couldn't be nicer, Captain to steward.
