First Family Cruise

Sail Date: April 09, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship was absolutely beautiful. The crew and Staff were outstanding and did everything they could to ensure we had a great experience. Having cruised many times in the past I had some expectations and they were met. This was My Wife and Son's first cruise and we are already talking about our next trip! Royal Caribean is a First Class organization!

Pros: Ship was Beautiful

Cons: The food in the Main Dining Room

Recommends Monarch of the Seas (RETIRED)? Yes!

Children's Programs
The only down side to the kids activities is that our son fell in the younger catagory being 11 and the kids at the age group were too you and he did not partake as it was a bit too young for him
Food and Dining
While we thoroughly enjoyed the experience, the food in our main dining room left much to be desired. Our wait staff was excellent but the food was consistently dry or over cooked. The food at breakfast and various buffets were very good.
Cabin / Stateroom
The stateroom was nice. Adequate size for age of ship. Our steward was excellent.
Entertainment
Ship Quality
Service and Staff
Staff made the cruise. Can't say enough about how wonderful they were. They truly made the experience.
