3 Night Bahamas (Port Canaveral Roundtrip)
Sail Date: March 30, 2012
Ship: Monarch of the Seas
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Family (older children)

We have been on several previous cruises before with Carnival and thought Royal Caribbean would be a step up in class of cruise line and ships. This particular ship was not. Seemed to be a lack of personnel for bar staff, some bars and restaurants had limited hours which never seemed to be closed on other ships. Food was less than impressive. No water slides or put put golf.

Food and Dining

Golden Corral quality food, not dis-ing Golden Corral just not what you expect on a Cruise Ship.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
This is a plus minus review, our particular cruise had some high school performances, the first night for the main production show was some really bad dance recital, we left before it was over. Im sure the kids and their parents enjoyed it but it wasnt what we were used to seeing aboard Cruise Ships. The second night they made up for it as the entertainer was great, El Gautcho (not sure on spelling) but he was GREAT. Last night production show from Royal Caribbean dancers was very entertaining.

Cabin / Stateroom

Bathrooms smaller than the small ones on Carnival Ships we have been on and they were the older ships not the new mega ships.

Pros: Coco Bay island day

Cons: Lack of aminities

Recommends Monarch of the Seas? No.
