Review Summary

I've been on larger ships and this one wasn't difficult to find our way around. The Monarch is a well kept ship; the staff did a great job keeping it neat and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was disappointed with the entertainment, the comedian was very funny but there were no big shows. The price of beer and drinks with liquor will cost you a fortune...highway robbery!

Ship Experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Our waiter, Stanley, was very attentive and did an excellent job. After dinner he even entertained us with mind challenging tricks. All the servers were excellent. The food was excellent and you could order anything or everything off the menu.

We had a good time on Coco Cay. I think that is the best thing about choosing Royal Caribbean, you don't have to pay to get to the island or to visit the beach. February is not the month to visit the beach because the water is cold and we had more clouds than sun. The activities personnel did a good job.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our room was on the 8th floor with a window partially blocked by a life boat but it was still a great view. Don't hesitate to book those rooms. The size of the room is small compared to a Carnival ship. Our stateroom attendant, Angus, was wonderful. He was friendly and very attentive.

Pros: Dinners in the dining room

Cons: Price of beers and drinks on the ship!
