Some Good, Some Bad

Sail Date: December 23, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Inside

Most of the staff were wonderful (mainly the entertainment personnel), but when you needed an answer from guest relations desk, they were rude and treated us like we were interupting their time or that our questions were not worthy of their time.

Pros: Formal Dining - Food was wonderful as was the dining staff

Cons: The rudeness of the personnel at the customer service desk, the rudeness of the photogaphers during formal night

Recommends Monarch of the Seas (RETIRED) 221? No.

Ship Quality
Service and Staff
Children's Programs
my teenaged daughter was not happy about the teen program. She went to the teen lounge on the first night but came back in minutes stating that the "staff were scary" and involved with each other only.
Cabin / Stateroom
although the rooms were kept really clean by the housekeeping staff, the amenities were poor. I requested a safe in my room (as it did not come with one) but never received it.
Food and Dining
Food was wonderful as was the staff in the formal dining room. The buffet however was understaffed and quality and selection of the food was very poor.
