Not a good cruise

Sail Date: December 05, 2011

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

The food in the main dining room was good I only ate dinner there. The food at the buffet was cold at all meals; I mentioned this to a few managers but nothing changed. The staff did not acknowledge guests as they walked by, very few said hello, good morning or just hi. They male staff made comments and eyed female passengers, some of the casino dealers werent professional at all. And most of all they nickled and dimed you to death for any extra's like Ice cream, Coffee and Items on the main dining menu

Pros: Shows

Cons: Food, Service, Staff

Recommends Monarch of the Seas (RETIRED)? No.

Food and Dining
the food was cold and not a lot of choices, lots of cheap grub, pastas, casseroles made from left overs
the shows were good
Ship Quality
the overall condition of the ship wasn't clean
Cabin / Stateroom
older ship small rooms, but housekeeping staff was very good
Service and Staff
not friendly, not good customer service, did not acknowledge customers and made comments about women
