We recently sailed on the Monarch of the Seas and all I can say is "Fantastic!". We knew the ship was one of the older and smaller in the fleet, but we had no idea what to expect. We really like Royal Caribbean's style, service, and innovative ships, and the Monarch did not disappoint. Our stateroom was very small, but cozy. We are accustomed to a balcony room, but due to the short cruise (4 days) opted for an interior room. Lots of storage, easy to unpack and felt like there was a place for everything. Overall we have to say the ship was really impressive, the staff was wonderful as always. As on all Royal cruises, there is always plenty to do and not enough time to do it all. The Monarch may be small and old (we celebrated her 20th birthday while aboard), but she is well maintained and did not dissapoint.

The shark dive booked through Stuart's Cove is a MUST do and so is the Dolphin Swim at Blue Lagoon Island (Dolphin Encounters). The Stuart's Cove excersion was not booked through the ship, but was well organized and is recommended. The Stuart's Cove staff are great.
Don't Miss: Shark Dive and Dolphin Swim

Pros: Cruise activities

Cons: Nothing
