A Great Time!

Sail Date: November 04, 2011

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/young children

Room Type: Oceanview

For a first time cruise, I was very impressed with all the ship had to offer.

Pros: Food was excellent, live music was fun and onboard crew were so friendly and helpful.

Cons: Sea was too rough to get into CocoCay, and I got seasick...

Recommends Monarch of the Seas (RETIRED)? Yes!

Ship Quality
Everything was clean, pleasant and in good repair. It was easy to figure out where everything was.
Food and Dining
Food was excellent and all we did was eat in the buffet-- I can only imagine the specialty restaurants were yummy as well. Kids loved the all you can eat pizza and soft serve ice cream available 24/7.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our oceanview room was very comfortable, clean and just enough room.
Service and Staff
Our stateroom attendant was especially pleasant.
There was always something to do, even on a choppy, blustery day at sea.
Children's Programs
Kids had a great time-- didn't want to leave!
Nassau, Bahamas
We loved going to the Atlantis Resort-- we got Aquaventure passes and just walked around, played at the beach, rode on the slides, saw the sea creatures and had some snack.
Don't Miss: Atlantis Resort, Paradise Island
