Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

Even though it was a large ship, it didn't feel enormous when we were on it. Everywhere we went was easily accessible.

Pros: The service

Cons: The soda

Recommends Monarch of the Seas (RETIRED) 221? Yes!

Ship Quality
The ship was so clean. It was easy to get to any place we wanted to go.
Cabin / Stateroom
The size could have been bigger but we had everything we needed and were extremely comfortable. Our stateroom was always clean and Rupert was always on the ball. We had everything we needed and he was able to answer all of our questions when we asked.
Food and Dining
We really enjoyed all of the food. The wait staff was extremely friendly except for the staff at the dining room on the 3rd floor in the morning. We felt like we were inconveniencing them. In the evening, we couldn't have asked for a better wait staff. Savio and his assistant waitress were AWESOME!!!! We only went to dinner in the dining room the last two nights but right off the bat they made us feel like we had been friends for a long time. We were laughing and having fun immediately.
Service and Staff
Almost everyone was awesome. As stated ealier the morning staff in the 3rd floor dining room could have been better but everyone else we encountered was top notch.
The last day of our cruise was at sea and we didn't go outside at all. There were so many activities and we tried to do as many as we could. Marc and his staff were the best.
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
The BBQ lunch was really good. We were a little disappointed in the "straw market". We weren't able to negotiate prices because everything is commercial, as opposed to the on in Nassau. There were a couple of things we would have liked to buy but they were a little pricey so we passed them up.
Don't Miss: The jet ski tour is a definitely don't miss. It was worth every penny paid.
Nassau, Bahamas
We did the Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounter, the Pirates of Nassau and shopped at the straw market. We enjoyed every minute of it. We wish we would have had another day because we would have loved to go to Atlantis and spend a day there. We felt a little rushed because a lot of the excursions close late afternoon/early evening and even though we were in port until 11:30 PM, once we went onboard for dinner, we stayed onboard the rest of the evening.
Don't Miss: The Blue Lagoon Dolphin Experience
