A Sisters' Get Away

Sail Date: September 23, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Inside

Nice 2,000+ passenger instead of "mega ship" - could use a little updating, but in good condition.

Pros: Food

Cons: Rain

Recommends Monarch of the Seas (RETIRED)? Yes!

Ship Quality
Could use a little updating but clean.
Food and Dining
The food in Vincents was good, but thought there was less seafood on the menu then in my past cruises on this ship. We did My Time dining which was great, and had a fantastic wait staff. Noticed that there was less variety on the buffet dining than in years past.
Cabin / Stateroom
Inside stateroom SMALL, but we 3 sisters managed. Room attendant was great, sheets nice, could have been a little fancier outer bedding.
Entertainment
Used to have a guitar player in one of the lounges, but didn't see one on the schedule this trip. Staff outgoing and funny. Would be nice to have more sports channels so we could hang out in one of the bars and watch your home team.
Service and Staff
All ship staff were excellent
Nassau, Bahamas
Walked to Atlantis - was disappointed that they have closed off the Atlantis just past the casino (has been opened the last 20 years we visited), so can't see any of the aquarium or other artwork. Won't visit there next time.
