Below expectations

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

Over all expectations was below expectations. Staff was pleasant but not overly eager to please. The exception was our room attendant, who went out of his way to make sure our room was managed and all questions answered. The shows were no more than average. The food was more similar to national buffet chains, rather than gormet style. Would have preferred and actual shower door rather than an uncontrollable shower curtain that would touch the body. We felt more like a burden rather than a customer when visiting guest relations. Appreciated the onboarding and off boarding process. Not sure if we would ever try another RC cruise. This was our first cruise and dissappointed.

Pros: The view, boarding and off boarding process.

Cons: husband saw a worker at the buffet drop a scoop on the floor and picked it up and kept using it. Not enough to do on the ship in activities.

Recommends Monarch of the Seas (RETIRED) 221? No.
