Nice cruise for the money
Monarch of the Seas Cruise Review to Caribbean - Bahamas

Review SummaryOur three day Bahama cruise from Port Canaveral was nice. We appreciated the trouble- free boarding. The food was very good and the staff was very attentive to our needs. This is an older ship but the public areas and dining areas were nice. Everything was clean and well maintained.
The rooms were pretty small. We had several insides and several oceanviews but all were different and all were a little quirky. When the beds were put together in our inside cabin, one person had to crawl over the other to get out of bed. I'd never seen a bed that wasn't centered in the room but this was shoved to one isde. As twins, they were fine.
The oceanview rooms were almost identical except that the beds butted up to the wall with the porthole and there was a 2 1/2 foot area like a window seat that was behind the headboard. This was wasted space that could have been used as storage. Also, the tv was under the dresser, on the floor. That was extremely strange and also hard to see.
The pool area was clean. Besides the regular meals, there was one poolside midnight buffet which was nice. The casino was great fun and the entertainment was very good. There were some venues for adults only which was refreshing. They were definitely not for kids but hysterical.

Cons: Cabins had a strange layout. They are outdated but clean. Not enough storage space
