Nice getaway

Sail Date: August 01, 2009

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Oceanview

Overall a nice getaway, even if it's only to the Bahamas. Ship was exceptionally cleane and did not look its age. There seemed to be plenty to do on board. Shopping on board is always fun, nice bars, lounges, etc.

If you like sun, then this ship is for you. Compared to other RCCL ships, very little shaded areas to relax out of the sun, but if you like to sit in the blazing sun, you will love this ship with almost 90% of its upper decks covered in lounge chairs from stem to stern.

Pros: staff including dining and room attendent, rock climbing wall

Cons: no safe or drawers in oceanview room

Recommends Monarch of the Seas (RETIRED)? Yes!
