Monarch of the Seas

4 Night Baja Mexico (Los Angeles Roundtrip)

Sail date: January 22, 2007

Ship: Monarch of the Seas

Cabin type: Oceanview

Traveled as: Couple

Reviewed: 14 years ago

Review summary

We found the ship to be a little smaller than we expected but overall to be very acceptable for a cruise of short duration. The dining room and staff were excellent. Our cabin accomadations were a little smaller but the steward was first rate. For the money paid it was a very good value.

Stateroom was very small and showing a little wear. It was clean and quiet.

Ports of call

Ensenada, Mexico

3 out of 5
Wine Tasting tour was very interesting and quality of wines was very good.

San Diego, California

3 out of 5
We have been to San Diego many times so we opted to just walk around the waterfront and Gas Lamp District. For someone who hasn't been here before there are several wonderful options.
Don't Miss: Animals, either the Zoo or the Wild Animal Park are great.
