Monarch of Seas Bahama Cruise

Sail Date: December 12, 2008

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

We got a great price on a three day cruise on this ship, and took it. This was my husband's and my first cruise and we had a lot of fun. The ship was older, but it was clean and the service on board the ship was great. We had a great time!

Pros: Shows, food, relaxation!

Recommends Monarch of the Seas (RETIRED) 221? Yes!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Cabin / Stateroom
The ship is old and the staterooms show the age. They are clean and comfortable, but it is obvious that the rooms aren't being kept up becuase of the age of the ship. ie. the shower is pulling away from the wall, the wall corners have been worn in places, etc.
Service and Staff
There was always someone to offer you a drink or assistance on the many levels of the ship. My only complaint and it wasn't a big deal was calling "guest relations" and being put on hold so long that eventually hung up on two different occasions.
Nassau, Bahamas
We took a water taxi right off the port and saw Atlantis ($ 6 round trip/ per person) and then went shopping at the shops and straw market. The majority of our time was spent at Senor Frogs!
