Traveled As: Family w/young children

Room Type: Oceanview

The whole experience has convinced my whole family that we will not go on another cruise. The onboard outragious cost of drinks, pictures, and merchandise changed the whole mood of thecruise from the start. The decks smelled of raw sewage. The lack of organised free or low cost "things to do" was surprising. If you don't drink, gamble, or eat alot, there is one show to watch that is clean enough fo family inviroment. Good kids program, nice hot tub, excellent Captain and crew. They were very resourceful in getting us back on board thru 8 to 12 foot swells and winds strong enough to cause the ship to lose anchor twice.

Pros: Nassau was nice, the dining room staff was wonderful, the food was good

Cons: the tender ride from Cococay was death defying and left many people injured or in shock, everything was way to expensive including the bingo which doubled your chances if you paid twice as much for electronic gaming. $30 dollars just to play one round is rediculous; drinks for $8 to $10 dollars

Recommends Monarch of the Seas (RETIRED)? No.

Cabin / Stateroom
Too small for comfort.
Ship Quality
Service and Staff
Some staff were down right rude or indifferent to customer questions and needs.
Entertainment
Cruising is not for moraly concerned familys. There was alot of sexually influenced games and gatherings.
Food and Dining
Children's Programs
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
This island's activities should be included in the cruise package
Don't Miss: nature trail was educational
Nassau, Bahamas
horse and buggy ride
