Never Again

Sail Date: November 03, 2006

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

We recently sailed the Monarch of the Seas and were very disappointed in the whole cruise. We were first met by cabin stewards and told to get out as they were still making up the rooms. Those exact words were used. Then we went up for some lunch, that was terrible too. Our room when we finally got into it was very very small. The TV was over the head of the bed, so we couldn't watch TV in bed and had nowhere else to sit and watch. We chose an inside cabin this time, never again. We had a room by the door of the crews and that door was banging constantly day and night.

Pros: no forced gratuity

Cons: The food

Recommends Monarch of the Seas (RETIRED)? No.

Food and Dining
UGH is all I can say. And there was times when we couldn't get anything to eat. Many times went to pool side and no bars open and no food served.
Cabin / Stateroom
Small room, no comfort at all, no goodies, like soaps, etc in the bathroom. Toilet kept plugging up.
Service and Staff
Our first impression was not good therefore the whole trip most of the staff were unpleasant.
Ship Quality
Layout was very very confusing, it took us most of the trip to figure out where everything was.
Not a lot of entertainment, but it was only a weekend cruise.
Ensenada, Mexico
Papa & Beers
Don't Miss: La Bufadora
