Review summary

Nice Cruise, compared to Carnival, feel Royal is overpriced for same exact thing, only difference I noticed was that its an older customer base on Royal, was expecting a better experience since Royal cost more...also wanted to transfer my status to Royal since I am a Platinum on Carnival, but they wont do that, too bad would have benefited Royal since I cruise 1- 2 times a year

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Main dining room was great...specialty restaurants were also very good BUT overpriced, specialty restaurants are suppose to be an extra 25 to 35 pp, at least they are on other cruise lines, not 75 per person...WOW, probably wont do that again

Onboard Activities

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

The Island was very nice and private, the excursion we picked was a Cabana Oasis, cost me $890, it rained all day, went to get a refund when returned to ship, only gave us 30%, very disappointed and unsatisfied

Royal won't honor cruise status from another line unless it's one of their own. I doubt carnival would honor status with Royal either. It's about your loyalty to their brand, not how often you cruise in general. Sorry you were disappointed.

Even though Royal and Celebrity are one company.. my Diamond Plus and Elite status are different.

Appreciate your feedback. Sadly, even other lines of Carnival corporate, do not match your loyalty level from Carnival. Sorry you didn’t feel you got your money’s worth. At least you tried something different from your comfort zone.

MSC status matches and their ships make Carnival ships look like tired, garish rust buckets. I also highly doubt Carnival would give you a better refund because it rained. No cruise line owes you anything back for weather. Please do go back and enjoy the twerking competitions on Carnival sail-away and greasy Guy’s burgers.

Should certainly stick with Carnival.

I don’t think any competition is gonna give you credit for cruises on another line.
