Review summary

We love RC but the port of call of Jamaica left A LOT to be desired. It was nasty, poor food and horrible drinks. CocoKay was amazing on all fronts. The people on the ship were rude! Staff was amazing as always!

Embarkation

Sailed in February and no marriage liscense was needed. However, this time it was and we were not informed BEFORE sailing. We even completed presail check in.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
LOVED the main dinning. The buffet had little to no variety from day to day. The Speciality pizza was great but the sandwiches were vegitarian. Again having juse sailed in February it was much different.

Onboard Activities

Our children loved the Kids Club that were geared towards thier ages!

Get a passport. No marriage license needed. If using a Birth Certificate then your married name doesn’t match it and that’s why the license was needed.

Been on 45 cruises with RCCL never had to show a marriage license

Appreciate your feedback. Like others, I’m confused why you need your marriage license? Glad you mostly enjoyed your cruise. Not you know that Jamaica doesn’t meet your interests and can avoid booking a cruise that goes there.

People should have more respect for foreign destinations. Leave the port area and explore the rest of the country before you pass judgement. When I visited Grand Cayman in 2019 I had a great time.

Marriage license for boarding? Interesting. Thanks for the information.

Was it a Catholic cruise?

Thanks for sharing. I can comply with poetic license, driver's license, and fishing license, but if a marriage license is required, I'd be out of luck. Couldn't pass the parallel parking.

Jamaica is a Latin word meaning "stay on the ship"
